Expertise and Specialism
We are experienced in senior management roles, leading teams in highly stressful work environments and vicarious trauma (where people are traumtised through others' distress). We have developed packages of care that truly support people and create restorative outcomes and greater resilience. Evidence-based, researched backed support is key to the work we do with people and organisations. Our ROAR workshops will be led by both Dr Battye and Dr Filio.
Qualifications
Isabel and Naomi were awarded their Doctorates in Clinical Psychology at Salomons, Canterbury Christchurch University in 2009. Each specialised in different ends of the life span with Isabel becoming a Principal Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in the NHS and now working privately with adults. Naomi became a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Older Adult Services. This across the lifespan view gives us a unique understanding of the breadth of challenges people face from the challenges of parenting and adult issues. Working with people from low level stress to extensive trauma gives us the awareness of managing complex needs.
Senior Management Experience
Having worked in senior leadership through the pandemic we were responsible for the wellbeing of the clinical staff through supervision, training and remote general support whilst still maintaining our mental health clinical practise. We understand the unique challenges faced by professionals in demanding roles and are dedicated to offering effective, evidence-based support.
Evidence-based Expertise
We are trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and the Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (GTEP). We use it successfully with people from childhood to late adulthood. We know the simple yet profound impact it can have on everyday wellbeing. Please see the Resources page for research on resilence and GTEP outcomes.
